It has been a busy few weeks for me riding my bikes so I thought I would give a quick update on how thing’s are going.
I lost a bit of confidence on my Revvi bike on the Speedway tracks, so during my last Demo Laps at Birmingham I was very cautious on a heavily watered track. I was very mindful of Eli riding as I remember what it was like when I first started, so I waited until one of the straights before overtaking so that we didn’t crash.
We had Round 5 in the Formula Grasstrack up at Hampton Hall which was a great day. I finished fourth but really enjoyed riding and getting more experience on my FUNBIKES MXR.
I was extremely fortunate and grateful to be invited to do some Demo Laps at Leicester Speedway on the mini track as part of the National League Riders’ Development Series recently. It wasn’t really my day, I was very tentative and had two minor falls, and then hampered by my seat being a little two high in my final rides. Onwards and upwards!
Finally, I competed in the re-run of Round 2 of the Formula Grasstrack Championship at Malpas yesterday. I had a really great day and really loved racing my Funbikes MXR. There was a heavy downpour as the meeting started, so in my first race in Heat 6 I was very steady as it was very slippy. In my next few heats, my confidence was back in abundance and I had a great few races with Noah Bakewell, battling him for third place, with Noah taking the spoils. I really enjoyed my day and couldn’t stop smiling!
It’s a busy couple of weeks ahead, with Demo Laps at Birmingham Speedway on the 12th, 19th and 26th August and Formula Grasstrack Round 6 at Hampton Hall on 24th August!
